The best leaders don’t just set a vision and delegate tasks—they provide air cover so their teams can do their best work.
What does air cover in leadership look like?
🔹 Protecting your team from unnecessary distractions, politics, or conflicting priorities.
🔹 Backing them up when they take risks, make tough decisions, or face resistance.
🔹 Creating space for creativity and problem-solving without constant firefighting.
🔹 Advocating for resources and removing roadblocks before they become bottlenecks.
Without air cover, teams operate in fear and uncertainty, hesitant to take initiative. With it, they feel empowered, confident, and focused on what truly matters.
Leaders, ask yourself:
❓ Are you shielding your team from turbulence?
❓ Are you ensuring they have what they need to succeed?
Because when leaders provide air cover, teams don’t just survive—they thrive.
